If you have SatNav, you can enter postcode PH36 4JN which will bring
you to the village of Salen.
From the South:
From Glasgow (3 hrs) and Edinburgh (4 hrs) . From Glasgow head for Loch
Lomond along A82 to Crianlarich. From Edinburgh head North (M9/A84/A85)
via Stirling and Callander to Crianlarich.
From Crianlarich, follow A82 through Glencoe and Ballachulish, following signs for Fort William. Approximately 8 miles south of Fort William you come to the village of Onich and approximately 1.5 miles beyond turn left at the signpost for the Corran Ferry. Take the short ferry crossing (which runs quarter to and quarter past the hour) to Ardgour and turn immediately left off the ferry ramp onto the A861 marked for Strontian. Continue through Strontian on the A861 for a further 10 miles until you come to the village of Salen - turn left on to the B8007, signed for Glenborrodale and Kilchoan Ferry . Hillside Chalet is located on the right hand side, approximately 0.5mile along this road, opposite the Salen Jetty Shop and up a steep driveway - there is a large sign at the roadside entrance for Yarns & Crafts.
From the North:
Follow signs for A82 /Fort William. Take the first turning right for
A830/Mallaig. Continue approximately 30 miles, through Glenfinnan, until
you come to Lochailort. Turn left for Acharacle and continue
approximately 20 miles until you come to the village to Salen. Turn
right on to the B8007 for Glenborrodale/Kilchoan Ferry. Hillside is
located on the right hand side, approximately 0.5mile along this road,
opposite the Salen Jetty Shop and up a steep driveway - there is a large
sign at the roadside entrance for Yarns & Crafts.
